The China Southern Endovascular Congress (SEC) is an international academic conference jointly organized by the Vascular Surgery Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University and the Guangdong Provincial Health Management Association, in collaboration with the National Cardiovascular Disease Expert Committee Vascular Surgery Professional Committee, and medical associations from eleven southern provinces. The congress is co-hosted by The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, and the Editorial Board of the Chinese Journal of Vascular Surgery (Chinese-English Edition) and the Chinese Journal of Vascular Surgery (Electronic Edition). Since its establishment in 2006, SEC has been successfully held for eighteen consecutive sessions. It has established its guiding principle of“Higher, Better, and Finer", earning an outstanding academic reputation and attracting thousands of professionals from around the world. The 17th SEC held in Guangzhou in 2024 set a new record with over 5,800 offline attendees, 6,400 online registrants, and 820,000 online views. Despite venue renovation challenges, the 18th SEC in Wuhan in 2025 was successfully convened as scheduled, with nearly 5,000 offline attendees, over 7,200 online registrants, and more than 820,000 online views. As one of the largest and most influential conferences in the field of vascular disease in China, SEC continues to lead the rapid advancement of vascular disease management nationwide.
The 19th SEC2026 and the 15th XVC2026 will feature one main forum and eight parallel sessions, encompassing 28 thematic sections covering aorta, peripheral arterial disease, venous and lymphatic disorders, vascular imaging, artificial intelligence, multidisciplinary collaboration, complication management, and more. The event will integrate multiple specialized forums, including the 15th Xiangya Vascular Conference (XVC2026), the 14th PAD High-End Salon, the 4th Vascular and Metabolism Research Forum, the International Vascular Forum, the Asia-Pacific Vascular Forum, and the 10th Southern Nursing Forum. To encourage and showcase young and middle-aged physicians, the Congress will also host several case and skills competitions, including the 10th National Finals of the Chinese Young Vascular Surgeons Case Competition, the 10th Sclerotherapy Elite Case Competition Finals, the 8th Chinese Young Vascular Surgeons Clinical Skills Competition, the 7th "Outstanding Physicians" Aortic Innovation Case Workshop, and the 4th "Venous Skills" Vascular Talent Show Finals. Renowned experts and scholars from China and abroad will engage in comprehensive and in-depth discussions on global hot topics in vascular disease, covering clinical diagnosis and treatment, evidence-based medicine, innovative technologies and translational medicine, AI applications in vascular surgery, ultrasound and imaging, as well as vascular nursing. In addition, more than 110 recorded complex surgical cases will be presented.
